Greetings from Kripalu!

Dear Readers:

My apologies for the sparse posts of late. I am currently away at a yoga and meditation center called Kripalu, creating my own little retreat with plenty of yoga, vegetables, and quiet moments for writing (some of my favorite things). Right now, I'm in the center's Solarium awaiting sunrise; the only sounds are the tapping of my laptop keys and whistling Berkshire wind outside. Just now the sky started turning from black to navy blue to azure.

I promise I'll return to the blogosphere in full force soon, with plenty of new inspiration to share. Until then, I thought I'd pass along a snapshot from the halls of Kripalu (above). Really, what more is there to say than that?

Many blessings to you as you bid farewell to another year and set your own authentic intentions for 2010.

Om Gal

Enjoy all the moments as I am sure you are. Just had my own similar retreat by the beach. Happy New year to you! Perhaps 2010 will bring us to the same place at the same time :)

oooh have fun at Kripalu! I have always wanted to go to one of their retreats...it is literally only an hour from where I am, but I can never afford anything...one of these days :) Have a great new year!

YogaMaendy, I just did a little investigating . . . Since you live so close, you can drop in for the day without paying for accommodations. It's $75 during the week and $100 on weekends. This includes all your meals (they are delicious!) and participation in any "Retreat & Renewal" programs, such as Kripalu yoga classes, ayurveda lectures, chanting, and more. Hope that helps.

Enjoy your retreat, Rebecca! I am ringing in the New Year by returning to Yoga classes on Jan. 2! (The videos at home just aren't cutting it for me.) I'm hoping to go every Saturday morning to reinvigorate my practice.

Looking forward to reading your revelations from Kripalu.

Enjoy the peaceful energy of Kripalu. I am curious what types special activities they have planned for New Year's Eve. Also, is there enough snow on the ground there to go snowshoeing through the woods?

We wore snowshoes on this morning's hike but more for the icy conditions than the amount of snow. The New Year's programs are on the website, but I can tell you there's a great energy there now, surrounding the holiday. Thank you for the questions; keep 'em coming! Om shanti!
